Fitment & Compatibility

The Bestop Trektop Slantback Soft Top (56863-17) is designed to fit 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited — 4-Door models only. This includes Wrangler JLU Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude trims. This top does NOT fit 2-door JL Wrangler models, the Jeep Gladiator JT, or any JK-generation Wrangler. If you have a 2018 model year Wrangler, please confirm you have a JL (not a JK) before ordering. Compatible with all factory full steel doors for a proper weather-tight seal.

Is this top compatible with factory Freedom Panels or a hardtop Jeep? Yes — the Trektop Slantback is designed to replace the factory hardtop or factory soft top entirely. It is not compatible with factory Freedom Panels when installed.

Installation

The Bestop Trektop Slantback is a no-drill installation that includes all required hardware. Light to moderate mechanical skill is required, and most DIY installers complete the job in approximately 2.5 to 4 hours. Bestop strongly recommends installing at a temperature of 72°F or above, as the fabric may contract an inch or more in colder temperatures. Some wrinkling after unboxing is normal and will resolve itself within a few days after installation. Detailed paper instructions are included; Bestop also provides a step-by-step installation video on their website and YouTube channel, which most installers find easier to follow than the printed guide.
