Note: Verify your front axle is the Dana M210 before ordering. Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon and most 4WD JL/JT models use this axle from the factory. Does NOT fit Dana M186 (Sport base axle) or any rear axle application.

Installation

This is a bolt-on replacement rated for novice skill level — no special tools or fabrication are required. The process involves draining the existing differential fluid, removing the OEM cover, cleaning the mating surface, installing the aFe cover using the included hardware (torqued in a crisscross pattern), and refilling with the appropriate gear oil. Re-torque all fasteners after approximately 100–200 miles. Professional installation is not required but is always an option. Note: Differential gear oil (75W-90 GL-5) is not included; sold separately (see aFe Part #46-71031B for the bundle with 2 qts. of PRO Guard D2 Synthetic Gear Oil).
